Film laminated glass EVA (Ethylene -Vinyl Acetate) is a laminated safety glass, composed of at least two layers of glass, solidly attached to the lamination process. Laminate layer between the glass panes protect against spillage and keeps it in place of incorporation in the case of fracture of the pane. Glass lamination process takes place in several stages. The first is the submission by the particular composition of the glass, so the arrangement of the individual layers of glass and one on the second film. The next step is the actual process that takes place in a special oven for laminating. Glass is heated to a suitable temperature at which the connection is permanently laminated layers. This process until cool down windows, took place in a vacuum. The last step is to remove the excess of the laminate, the edges of the apertures and windows.
Production of laminated glass and its assessment is based on the PN- EN ISO 12543 1-6 Glass in building - Laminated glass and laminated safety glass and BS EN 14449 Glass in building - Laminated glass and laminated safety glass - Evaluation conformity of the product with the standard.
Depending on the application and the type of glass for the manufacture of laminated glass used in various thicknesses and number of layers of EVA film. In the case of non-tempered glass may be a single layer film having a thickness of 0.38 mm or 0.76 mm. However, in the case of tempered glass laminating the minimum required quantity of the film is 4 x 0.38 mm or 2 x 0.76 mm.
A very important feature of the EVA film is resistant to moisture, which is very important in the case of windows exposed to the elements. This feature distinguishes this technology to other popular methods for laminating glass.
